“Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves.” Philippians 2:3
This verse speaks to me as the mantra of a mission trip. Preparing your heart for service. It speaks to me as the way our lives should be lived not only when we are on a trip but when we are living in our own reality. I know it is difficult when the busyness of the day rushes in, when people and responsibilities are tugging at you from all different angles. Yet I believe that we all have it inside of us to live that way – in service to others.
It is an unbelievable feeling when you step outside of yourself to help another. It is an unbelievable feeling when you realize that you have done just that very thing without even thinking! It is an unbelievable feeling that you cannot help but want to feel over and over and over again. There are so many of you that live out this verse on a daily basis and if not daily then pretty darn close to it. Today… I wanted to take a moment to tell you that it does not go unnoticed.
Thank you for being great examples of “Leading By Example.” Of being the hands and feet of Jesus here on earth and exemplifying what it means to be Jesus with skin on.
In His Mighty Grip,
Stephanie
